The 2nd kubo design was good, not like the other kubo was built  already. This was a strong and relaxing spot. This kind of kubo is not easily broken, every detail was planned and the bamboo already treated 95%. STEP 2.

Find some spot to build a kubo then clean it to easily work without problem.

STEP 2.

After cleaning the area, cut bamboo to make a lay-out of kubo

STEP 3.

Carry it into the site where we work. Make sure the bamboo is enough to lay- out.

STEP 4.

Before we proceed to lay-out, find some small trees to use as our stake.

STEP 5.

Use a digging bar to make a small hole, to put the stake.

STEP 6.

Finally we finish putting stake then we put bamboo so that you already lay-out it.

STEP 7.

Since the diameter is wide, we must put support braces so that our lay-out does not move and does not cause problems.

STEP 8.

Measure the bamboo 10 x 16 diameter, then repeat it into the whole area.

STEP 9.

When the measuring is finished, put a nylon string to see our final out lay- out.

Repeat step 9 to become like this, so we can proceed in digging a hole.

STEP 10

Use the plumbob to get a straight direction, when it's done you can dig the soil, using the digging bar.

When the digging was done. This was the view. It's a 6 hole because it is a big kubo project, the depth of hole is 50 cm. It is ready to post.

STEP 11

When our holes are ready, we can do this process by striping the trunk skin. Then if it's done, put it on our working area.

STEP 12.

Measure the post so that it is not hard  to cut when it's standing.

STEP 13

Use the plumbob to get the right straight of the post . Then we can cover it. It's okay. Repeat this procedure in our holes.

STEP 14.

Use the plumbob to get the right straight of the post . Then we can cover it. It's okay. Repeat this procedure in our holes.

When step 14 is finished, this is the result, repeat this to the other post. We put a nut and bolt so that it is strong.

STEP 15.

Put a horizontal support for our rafters.

STEP 16

Installing  the ridge beam. Put some braces so that the beam does not move.

While waiting to finish treating  the bamboo we make here a slat for the flooring and reed matting.

Here we put a horizontal beam so that we can work easily. then we tights the bamboo using the g.i wire and nailed it.

STEP 17.

Here we already put a rafter and we ensure that we are exact measurements. do it this in the other side.

STEP 18.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

STEP 19.

We put the reed matting so that we can put our roof ( pawod). We use tape measure and chalk line for the gap of roof and also become accurate.

When the preparation of reed matting is finished, get the roof to start installing. We carry the roof (pawod) into the staff house for warded here to the top, we need some help on the carabao so that its not hard for us

STEP 20.

Installing the roof( pawod) it is easy, we use a nail here so that we can work fast. Do this in the other side.

Here the outcome when the roofing was finished. Then we put some floor joists. Lester’s made slat for the floor.

STEP 21

Floor joist installed then we lined by nylon string, because some bamboo is not the same size.

STEP 22

Install the floor slat.

STEP 23.

Installing the door jamb, window  frame and the cross beam.

Finally we put the wall slat, so that it proceeds into the whole area.

STEP 24.

Installing  the door after we followed the window.

Make it stand out

We use the level hose to get the right level, then we use the chalk line.

Cut off the excess wall slat.

The room and Sala were finished, we put in some small designs.

Here we drop the height of the terrace, because it is not good when you are in the lower area,  we put the floor girder.

  • We put the floor joist and then we put nylon on it so that the height is the same

  • We use the hand drill to prevent the bamboo from cracking

  • Put the floor slat.

  • It is hard to flooring because we use the (kawayan).

We made the stairs  and reymond tried to put in the railings

Here they tried to finish the railings and little bet was ready to sleep here.

We added a green net to make it more durable.
